Jerry recently retired after 36 years in the chemicals and materials industry. He began his career as a research chemist and went on to hold a variety of senior leadership position in Technology and Operations first at DuPont and then at Koch Industries. At the time of his retirement, Dr. Grunewald was the Vice President of R&D at INVISTA and was a leader of the Koch corporate technology council.
Over the course of his career, Jerry led teams across INVISTA’s 13 global operating sites and oversaw several lab – pilot – plant process and product commercial deployments. Post retirement, Jerry is remaining active in the technology field as Principal of Grunewald Consulting Services where he is guiding clients in the Industry 4.0 arena and green chemistry developments focusing on post consumer recycle.
